Simon Barnett Takes on NZ’s Highest Skydive with Skydive Auckland

Skydive Auckland had an amazing time hosting Simon Barnett from More FM’s Breakfast Club as he took on NZ’s highest skydive straight into the Berocca Bullseye!

On Wednesday 18 February, the More FM team came down to our Parakai drop zone and broadcast their morning show live, all in anticipation of Simon’s jump. Before taking the leap, he watched as tandem customers and students from the New Zealand Skydiving School jumped out of the plane, adding to the excitement.

Simon even came down a few weeks earlier to train with the Skydive Auckland team, learning how to pull his parachute and steer it safely to the target. On the big day, with Tandem Master Ballzy guiding him and camera flyer Jacob capturing every moment, Simon landed on the target perfectly and won a prize for a lucky listener at home.

The drop zone was buzzing with energy, with locals coming down to watch Simon’s skydive, listeners competing in fun challenges, and kids in school uniforms arriving early to catch the action before class.

Simon’s flight on our plane became one of the most followed jumps in the world, showing just how much excitement a skydive can create!
