About us
The highest jump in New Zealand starts here!
Skydive Auckland is home to New Zealand’s highest tandem skydive, delivering unforgettable experiences since our founding in December 2011. Born from the success of our sister company, Skydive Taupo, we were established to bring world-class tandem skydiving to the Auckland region, and remain the only skydiving operator based in New Zealand’s largest city and primary international gateway.
At the heart of what we do is the tandem skydive, a once-in-a-lifetime experience for first-time jumpers and thrill-seekers alike. Jump from 18,000ft, freefall for up to 75 seconds, the longest available in the Southern Hemisphere, and take in sweeping views across both of Auckland’s coastlines, Waiheke Island, Great Barrier Island, and Mt Ruapehu. For most customers, a skydive is a life-changing moment where they test their limits and walk away with a memory they carry for the rest of their lives.
Our mission is to give every customer New Zealand’s most exhilarating skydiving experience, backed by uncompromising safety and world-class training.
Our Facility
In 2014, we expanded by purchasing and relocating the New Zealand Skydiving School to our Auckland base, creating a one-of-a-kind facility that combines commercial operations with a globally recognised Diploma in Commercial Skydiving, the only course of its kind in the world. Since then, we’ve grown our purpose-built facility in Parakai into New Zealand’s largest sport skydiving and learn-to-skydive dropzone, home to the largest swoop pond in the Southern Hemisphere, and a regular host of New Zealand’s National Skydiving Competitions.
Don't Just Take Our Word For It
We’re proud winners of TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award, and hold a Gold Qualmark for excellence in safety and service. We’re also proud members of the NZPIA (New Zealand Parachute Industry Association). With over 1,000 five-star reviews, we like to think our customers say it best.
We give back through our Skydive for Charity programme, helping causes across New Zealand raise funds through unforgettable fundraising jumps, and our partnership with Making Trax, making skydiving accessible to people who might not otherwise get the chance to experience freefall. We’re also committed to caring for our whenua, undertaking an ongoing conservation project to restore native wetland on our land, with the option to plant trees or purchase carbon credits when you book.
