The Lifesaving Leap at Skydive Auckland

Skydive Auckland is hosting The Lifesaving Leap, a skydiving day where fundraisers from all over NZ will be taking the leap to raise valuable funds for Coastguard NZ.

Coastguard is a charity powered by volunteers. And every day, all around Aotearoa New Zealand, their 2000 volunteers answer the call of those in distress. They give their time, their care, commitment and courage and ask for nothing in return.

The Lifesaving Leap is Coastguards first ever skydiving event to raise money to ensure ongoing safety for all Coastguard Volunteers and Kiwis on the water.

Volunteers that sign up and raise at least $1,000 receive a free 13,000ft tandem skydive on the big event day. On Saturday 27 May, The Lifesaving Leap will take place at Skydive Auckland where fundraisers will finally be faced with their experience of a lifetime!

One of these brave fundraisers has decided to take it even further! Rob McCaw, will be running 50km from his home in Belmont to Skydive Auckland in Parakai. He’ll be setting off in the middle of the night so that he arrives to Skydive Auckland at 9am ready to take the leap!
