SPCA Jump To The Rescue 2022
On Saturday 3 December we welcomed SPCA Jump To the Rescue fundraisers who were all taking the leap for animals in need.
This annual SPCA event began many years ago at Skydive Auckland and has since gone nationwide. Every year we welcome fundraisers, their family, friends and colleagues, and even their dogs and rabbits have turned up to support. This year the Auckland jumpers raised nearly $24,000 and most of the fundraisers took to the skies dressed up as animals.
Every dollar raised goes straight towards helping thousands of sick, injured, abused and vulnerable animals. SPCA NZ helps protect over 34,000 animals in New Zealand every year.
“Everyone had such a blast, it is always great to see that nervousness transform into pure excitement when they land.” said Amy from SPCA.
We absolutely love to see people combining doing something for a great cause and ticking off something on their bucket list. Every year many charities choose to hold a Skydive For Charity event where you can sign up, raise the target fundraising amount, and skydive for FREE! You can choose to join a scheduled charity event date or you can choose a charity with an ongoing charity campaign where you can choose your own jump date.
