Predator Free Skydive Auckland
Our Skydive Auckland team have set up 10 traps on our land with the help of funding from #predatorfreenz and #predatorfreewaihuruhurucreek. We’re excited to work on creating a predator free area as part of our ongoing conservation project. We will monitor all the traps regularly and will record the results.
Aotearoa New Zealand is progressing toward an ambitious goal of eradicating rats, stoats and possums by 2050. New Zealand-wide local community groups, hapū/iwi and private landowners are working towards the Predator Free 2050 Vision.
We’re monitoring the results on the Trap.nz app which is a great tool for mapping, locating and managing traps, monitoring trapping records.
We proudly support the #tiakipromise which is a commitment to care for New Zealand, for now and future generations.
Skydive Auckland also continues to maintain a Gold Qualmark Award. A Gold Award recognises the best sustainable tourism businesses in New Zealand, with the delivery of exceptional customer experiences an integral part of everything they do. A Gold Sustainable Tourism Award identifies those businesses leading the way in making the New Zealand tourism industry a world class sustainable visitor destination.
