The New Zealand Skydiving School is the only organisation to offer the Diploma in Commercial Skydiving, a formal, NZQA approved skydiving qualification, providing you with the perfect opportunity to gain access to an exciting career with international prospects.
And to make it even more accessible for you, FEES FREE funding is available for NZ citizens OR those with a NZ resident visa for 3+ years. So you can learn to skydive for FREE! Check the Fees Free website to see if you qualify for this government funding.
This 32 week full time course includes 200 skydives. During week 1 you’ll begin your journey to learn to skydive. By week 15 you’ll have your camera attached to your helmet and will practice filming real tandem customers in the sky! By week 20, you will go on your work experience placement opportunity anywhere in the world.

Dropzones all over the world desire graduates of the Diploma for employees because the training they have gained throughout the Diploma make them highly skilled and work ready.
The New Zealand Skydiving School is based at Skydive Auckland, which means you will be immersed within a real commercial skydiving dropzone, therefore improving the quality and application of the learning.
The Diploma in Commercial Skydiving has 4 intakes per year, kicking off in January, April, July and October.
No past skydiving experience is required to enrol for this Diploma. You may have already done a tandem skydive or you may have never ever done a skydive at all!
You will also be provided with affordable accommodation options for during your time at the school which are just a few minutes walk from the dropzone.

When it comes to the work experience placement module, you will discuss your future career and location preferences and the team at the school will match them up with options that are suitable for you.
There are many career paths in the skydiving industry. Upon graduating you could become a Camera Flyer, Ground crew or Parachute Packer as these are entry level roles within the industry. You could then build your jump numbers and experience to then become a Coach, Jumpmaster, AFF Jump Instructor and Tandem Instructor. Another option you may be keen on is becoming an Instructor in the Air Force. With skydiving dropzones worldwide typically having their busiest seasons during the summer, upon graduating, you can enjoy the opportunity of chasing summers and travelling the world skydiving.
