On the Day

Upon arrival, you will check in on one of our iPads. We will brief you on the available packages for your skydive so you can choose the best option for you. You will watch a short video about the activity and a short video with safety instructions. You will then be fitted with a jumpsuit and harness and provided with goggles and a hat. Now it is time to meet your tandem instructor! Your videos and photos will begin while you are on the ground before you head to the plane. When ready, you will board the plane where you will experience a 20–25 minute scenic flight before reaching your chosen jump altitude. Upon exit from the aircraft, you will feel the acceleration as you freefall for 45–75 seconds depending on your chosen height. At around 6,000ft your parachute will open and you will have a further 5 minutes parachute ride down to the ground. As soon as you land you will want to do it all over again! All of your skydive videos and photos are emailed to you after your skydive so you can easily view and share them.

During the registration process, you will be briefed on a number of points including landing. Our highly skilled instructors are trained to bring you back to earth as softly as possible. While we can give you a thrilling ride under your parachute, when it is time for landing, you follow some simple instructions to help aid a soft landing in front of your friends and family who will be cheering you along.

Freefall is a surreal experience, and it's rarely what people expect. Most first-timers brace for that stomach-drop sensation you get on a rollercoaster or bungee jump, but that's not really what it feels like. Because you're exiting the plane while it's already moving at speed, freefall feels much more like floating, or even flying, than falling. The wind, at up to 200km/h, supports you rather than rushes past you. It's genuinely one of those things you have to feel for yourself to understand.
