Jump! In July For New Zealand Red Cross at Skydive Auckland

We are very excited to welcome New Zealand Red Cross to Skydive Auckland on Saturday 25th July! Raise money for vulnerable people, and mix in some insane adrenaline, and Jump! In July!

The funds raised helps New Zealand Red Cross to continue to do what it does best - do good in the community.

During the COVID-19 crisis, their Meals on Wheels and Migration services were deemed essential and continued to operate throughout lockdown. The Restoring Family Links service supported those who had been separated from their loved ones. And their disaster response volunteers have been on the forefront of the COVID-19 response, from delivering food and medication parcels to supporting evacuees from Wuhan in Whangaparaoa.

New Zealand Red Cross needs your support now more than ever, and what better way to raise money for New Zealand Red Cross than throw yourself 13,000ft out of a plane!?

So, what are you waiting for… cross skydiving off your bucket list, and Jump! In July!

Any questions get in touch Getfundraising@redcross.org.nz.

SPCA Jump To The Rescue At Skydive Auckland

Will you take the plunge and skydive for animals in need? SPCA Jump To The Rescue are back and we cannot wait to see them on 1st August 2020!

Last year, SPCA alone raised $104,000 through their Jump To The Rescue event, which began at Skydive Auckland, and last year expanded to became a national campaign with a choice of five skydiving locations across the country. SPCA receives almost no government funding so relies on fundraising and donations from the community. The Skydive For Charity platform provides an incentive to fundraise, with the end result being vital funds raised for SPCA that helps animals that are sick, injured, abused or simply abandoned. Not only do friends and family spectate at this event, but dogs and rabbits have been known to come along to support too from the ground.

Lucie Fowler, SPCA’s Events and Community Fundraising manager says it is exciting Jump to the Rescue is able to go ahead this year. “We encourage any of you feeling like you truly need to ‘break out’ and shake off the shackles of lockdown, please join us.” You can sign up to join them at www.spca.nz/jump." "Our fundraising efforts have been disrupted due to COVID-19, but here’s an opportunity for adventurous New Zealanders to do something truly memorable, while helping our abused, unwanted and unloved animals at the same time.”

To Jump To the Rescue, all you need to do is raise $775 through your sponsorship page and then come and jump for FREE!

Skydive Auckland - Waiheke Island, Amazing Views And Making The News!

We decided to take our once in a lifetime experience of skydiving and combine it with insane views of Waiheke Island! On Sunday 22nd March, our Skydive Auckland crew headed over to Waiheke Island in Auckland for a day of jumping over the world renowned Gulf Island.

Our Skydive Auckland team shared the view with others, taking customers tandem skydiving from 12,000ft. This unique experience involved freefalling at 200km/hr with a backdrop of Waiheke's impressive beaches, world class vineyards, not to mention the rest of the Gulf Islands, including Rangitoto and Great Barrier.

The day could not have gone better. The Waiheke residents were keen to sign up for this rare experience. We took a couple who jumped to celebrate their 15 year anniversary, we had a mother and son taking the leap together, and many more, everyone loved it!

15 people from Auckland's sport skydiving community jumped solo from 12,000ft at Waiheke Island.

This day of jumping marked the fourth and final day of a sport skydiving event known as the 'Mad King Boogie' in honour of Parakai local 'Mad Dog' Ross King. The fun four day event included skydives into Muriwai Beach as well as coaching jumps, novelty jumps and competitions at Skydive Auckland's base in Parakai, West Auckland. And of course we took Ross for his second ever tandem skydive on day 4 of the event at Waiheke Island!

Upon landing, the Batch Winery, located conveniently next to the airport had bubbles at the ready for everyone to celebrate their achievement. Several businesses on Waiheke Island, such as The Waiheke Lodge have since contacted Skydive Auckland to say if they ever do this day again they'd be keen to be involved. The Helensville News published an epic photo and wrote about our awesome day!
