Skydive Auckland is New Zealand's largest sport skydiving drop zone. We welcome sport skydivers and fun jumpers of all experience levels, so whether you are still working towards your first licence or you have thousands of skydives, we welcome you to come along and share our blue skies.

Skydive Auckland Facilities

Skydive Auckland has a 17-place turbine PAC 750 XL aircraft, taking you to 13,000 or 16,500ft in 20 minutes. Our newly built facility has a huge packing area, viewing deck, debrief areas and bbq making this the perfect place to enjoy fun jumping in New Zealand.

Skydive Auckland is also home to the New Zealand Skydiving School, the only Government approved Private Training Establishment (PTE).

We are open 7 days per week (weather depending) and are only closed on 25-26 December and 1-2 January.

Want to stay for a few days? Accommodation can be found on-site at Skydive Auckland. Due to its popularity, availability is limited and you must contact us to make a reservation. Parakai Springs also offers a range of accommodation options and is less than 5 minutes from the DZ.

Experienced skydivers

To sport skydive at Skydive Auckland, you must be a valid member of the New Zealand Parachute Industry Association, which is our governing body.  We have equipment for you to hire if needed (see below) but if you are bringing your own equipment, please note that AADs are mandatory and we also operate a 6-month reserve repack cycle.

Visiting New Zealand?

If you hold a licence from another parachute organisation, you can apply for an online temporary NZPIA Certificate, this is valid for 3 months and the cost is $50. This can only be done at the drop zone and we will require you to bring valid photo I.D, a credit card for payment as well as your logbook / licence documentation.   If you will be in New Zealand for more than 3 months and you would like to apply for a full NZPIA Certificate with A, B, C or D endorsement ($120), we can do this too.  The process takes longer and you will be required to complete an online exam.

To be eligible for an NZPIA Certificate with A endorsement you must:
* Have a minimum of 25 jumps
* Be cleared to pack sport equipment (signed in logbook)
* Have a minimum of 5 coached jumps and be able to demonstrate a range of formation skydiving skills (proximity, levels, turns, tracking)

To be eligible for an NZPIA Certificate with B endorsement you must:

* Meet all the criteria for A endorsement
* Have a minimum of 50 jumps
* Have completed a minimum of 10 formation skydives, of which at least 5 must be with 3 participants or more

Please note that all currency requirements will be assessed by an NZPIA Jumpmaster or NZPIA Instructor.
